ℕ𝕖𝕨𝕀 𝔸𝕣π•₯π•šπ•”π•π•–

Hello again!
It's been a long time since I used blogger so my post might be a teensy weensy bit flimsy hehe
So anyways, We created a news article for Cybersmart 2 weeks ago. (or was it last week?)
Our Cybersmart teacher Miss Morgan Mrs Clifford (yes she got married congrats), introduced us to news articles, and how they can be filled with hackers and false information. Me and Ari became buddies and we made this news article. (If you copy this a lightning bolt will strike you down while you're sleeping)  Oh, by the way, Mrs Lambie gave us the idea of pigs in mud since we had NO IDEA what to do.

So anyways, I hoped you liked this blog post. See you in the next post!

Digital Technology

 Kia Ora!

Today with Mrs Sumpter we were playing with Hour of Code. Hour of Code is a place where you can pick some games that you can code yourself. For example, say you did this maze for a start, you had to code the person to move. I did "Animate an Adventure Game", Which was on Scratch (who did a crossover with Cartoon Network). It's basically a game where you can code a cartoon character to collect things. I picked Steven Universe, my 2nd favorite Cartoon Network series. Here is my Scratch creation!

I think I did good! It was pretty easy to learn. How do you rate my game out of 10? I would rate it a 9.

Toolkit at Room 6

 Tena Koutou Katoa!

So today we did a little thing called Toolkit. It's basically this thing where you can join hangouts from other schools. My first hangout was about stop motion, and I'm pretty good at it! Second I did how to use canva from Hornby High. I wasted my time at the hangout because I couldn't hear a WORD they said, and last I learned about a site called remove.bg even though I used it like a million times. Remove.bg is pretty trash because I tried a picture and it rubbed out the person's foot.

Scale

Kia Ora!

Today is Friday, the day Mrs Sumpter comes to teach us. Today she bought in a new subject. Scale. To start, we measured the whole classroom. I forgot how long it was, but I think is was somewhere around 9 metres long. Mrs Sumpter handed us a paper with a bunch of tiles, so we could draw our classroom. We basically drew our classroom the same length, but a mini version with the tiles. I did my drawing while imagining I was looking at the class from the roof. So I kinda got it, I just forgot a few things. I took a picture of my drawing.

I forgot things like the bookshelf, the standing table, the prayer focus and the whiteboard.

Lesson Toru - Smart Relationships - Spam and Online Conversations

Hello There! (the kid named There: hi)

Miss Morgan, our Cybersmart teacher, has introduced us to a new site called Book Creator. It is a site where you can make your very own book.
Our Topic:
Spamming, and how to start conversations online.
A spammer is a person who gives random peeps a link to inappropriate content, or to scamming sites blah blah blah. How to know if someone is a spammer is to click on their name. If they have a blog, then they are not a spammer. If they DON'T have a blog, that is a spammer so DELETE THAT COMMENT AND GO CRY YOURSELF TO SLEEP. Nah just kidding but still just ignore that comment

How to start an online conversation
If you want to start a conversation online you have to make sure you are asking and answering open questions. That means that the question you typed will most likely lead to more and more comments, starting a conversation.

The Cover

Reflection:
I never used Book Creator in my LIFE. However, it is fun and it doesn't take long to get used to!

At first, I knew what spam was (both the food and the stuff online) but I completely didn't know that if you click on someone's name it would show you if they had a blog or not.

Blog Commenting

What I know about blog commenting is...

- It helps the creator to improve their posts

- It can encourage other people to comment

- Comments have to be nice, not mean

- Commenting mean things online is a form of cyber-bullying

- It has to make sense or the reader won't understand

- You can comment to share your opinions with others

Last week we learnt how to put a link into a comment.

<a href="insert URL here">Insert display text here</a>

Where it says "insert URL here", you delete it and paste the site link you want to share.

Where it says "Insert display text here" You delete that and type in whatever you want to say, e.g "Click here to watch" or "Click here to visit"

Have a try commenting on this blog post with the tutorial I just showed you! It's confusing at first, but I'm sure you will handle it.

Zentangle (Zendoodle) Drawing

Kia Ora!

Have you heard of a Zentangle? It's a type of art, where you draw a bunch of lines over the paper, then draw patterns in each of the gaps. My class was handed a paper sheet with gaps to put zentangles in. I used a pen to draw the zentangle. I took a picture of my sheet to show you. I've only done 4, because there is another side. (I really want to do more but the teacher wont let me πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘)

To be honest, I don't think I actually realized what I was doing when I was drawing zentangles. Lets just say I zone out when I'm drawing.
What did you think of my zentangles? Maybe you could have a shot at drawing them, too!

Room 5 Geometry - Escape from Maptown Zoo

Hey everyone!

As you know, this week was the start of term 3. Today was Friday, meaning we had Mrs Sumpter as our teacher, the person who is the GEOMETRY MASTER. Anyways, for this term, our topic was Pirates. Today we were learning about North, South, East and West. As well as southeast blah blah blah. First, we made up a way to remember the directions. For me, the order was N,E,S,W. So to remember those, we made up a mini sentence. Mine was Never Eat Stinky Walnuts. The next task was Escape from Maptown Zoo. So first there was a 3x3 grid we had to fill in with animals. We had to add in the animals by order so it makes sense.
Here are the pictures of my tasks.

Quality Blog Comments - Confident

Kia Ora people!

Today for Cybersmart, we were working in duos on a topic - Quality Blog Comments. On a slide, there was a comment on a blog post. We tried to type a comment that is better quality then the comment on top. For example, there was a comment on a blog post, and it said "I liked the T-shirt that you made I liked the stuff on the T-shirt" which to me, wasn't a quality comment. So my buddy, Stan, tried to remake it. It turned out...well...not really better. he wrote: "Hi i really like your T shirt i really like the photos do you wanna improve your t shirt tho like add some words add some like a good Advice or some thing? And great  job!"(copy and pasted) I MEAN BRO GET YOUR GRAMMAR RIGHT!!!
Anyways, I did the comment for the next one. It was a pretty good comment to top, but I think I topped it.
Here is a screenshot of it.

How do you think I did?

Have you ever realised this

Before you read these be sure it might keep you up at night

Carrot juice is orange juice

If Cinderella's shoe fit her perfectly, then why did it fall off?

Some people hate having a shower but stay in it for almost the whole day after 5 minutes

If you hit yourself and it hurts, are you weak or strong?

Erasers slowly die while we rub out our mistakes (probably if the rubber was a human it's friend would be a pen not pencil)

If you hug you dog that makes them feel anxious so all this time if you hugged your dog you just tried to show love but it made them uncomfortable

In order to fall asleep you have to pretend to be asleep

Some people say live is short even though it's the longest thing that you experience

If we can't see air, does that mean fish can't see water?

You stay in the womb for 9 months even though you are born 0 seconds old

The best part of a cucumber tastes like a watermelon rind (which is gross if you ask me)

Do people with glasses wear glasses in their dreams?

You can't stand backwards on stairs...can you?

Reading - UNUSUAL ANIMALS!!!

Kia Ora!
For reading last week, we had a look at San Diego Zoo to look at the Okapi, an unusual animal. We looked at some other weird animals, and we chose 1 or 2. I did 4 of them, one of the animals extinct.
It was easy! I picked the Capybara, Helicoprion (extinct), Andean Condor and the Axolotl. My favorite would probably be the Helicoprion and the Capybara.

Have a go at drawing online!

Kia Ora!
For Cybersmart, we were given a task to do a self portrait of our selves online. Mine went pretty good! I used something called Color Picker. It showed us the different shades of color on our faces. Here is the tutorial we watched to do this.
First we equipped the curve button on a google drawing. Then we took a picture and put it in the drawing. Next, we traced the different shades on our face and hair, then made the shapes transparent. Moving on, we downloaded a google extension called Color Picker. After downloading it we checked the shades of color on our faces and hair, then we put it as the right color to make it look like ourselves.

This was kinda hard to do, but at least I finished it!
How do you think I did with my drawing? I think i did great.

My Everyday Life

Hello there! So I wanted to tell you guys about my everyday life, for example what I do in the morning and all of that.

First I wake up with my hair all scruffy and dry. Then I wash my face, wet my hair (because its dry) and then I dry my hair with a comb and towel.

For breakfast, I either have sausage and eggs with rice or pancakes. Then I go watch some TV, play games, or play with my Lego.

So after that, I go to feed the rabbits, It's a long and hard job, since there are 3 bunnies and i have to get food and water for them (trust me, they can eat 2 carrots in under 5 minutes!) Then I bring one of the bunnies inside to play with, or to train them.

After that, I pass the time talking to my friend, playing prodigy (here is the link), or riding on my bike in the backyard.

Lastly, all I do is play video games inside. When I get tired of playing, I call my friend and we start doodling on paper together (we're pen pals!), or we play games together.

I hope you enjoyed this post, see you!

Kim Namjoon

Hello there! Looking at my blog, aren't you? If you are, Then why not look at this post! So during lockdown, (which is still not finished!) I decided to make a blog post for blogging. I decided to do a famous person, and I came up with RM, leader of BTS.

All About Me

Kamusta everyone!
In my writing folder, we were given a task to make something called "All About Me".
When doing this, there are simple things to include:
A memory that you mostly remember
Your Hobbies
Something that makes you laugh
A fun fact about yourself
After doing all of this in my book and then copying it in my chromebook, here are the final results!
